Ingredients
1tbspginger rootroughly chopped // no need to peel if organic
1tspturmeric root (optional)roughly chopped // no need to peel if organic
16ozwater
juice from ½ orange
juice from ½ lemon
honey to taste
Instructions
Combine chopped ginger, turmeric (if using) and water in a small saucepan. Bring to a boil over high heat, then reduce heat and simmer, covered, for 5-15 minutes (depending on how strong you'd like the ginger flavor).
Strain through a fine-mesh strainer and into a large mug. Add the lemon and orange juice, and stir in honey to taste.
